The Annual Prize Night of D.B.M.S. English School for the year 2023 -24 was held on 26th April 2024.
The wonderful evening was graced by the presence of the honourable chief guest Mrs. Ishita Dey, Principal of Tarapore School, Agrico.
The proceedings of the evening began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest. This was followed by the academic procession of the rankers. Mrs Sudha Dutta, the Coordinator of the Primary Level led the special awardees of KG 1 to Std III. Mrs. Bhuvna Sridhar, Coordinator of the Middle School Level led the rankers of Std IV to Std VII. Special Awardees of Std IV to Std VII were led by our Principal, Mrs. Rajani Shekhar and Vice Principlal Mr. P.K. Sahu.
This proud moment was followed by a welcome address and a beautiful prayer dance.
After this, the chief guest was introduced and a plant was presented to her. This was followed by the Principal's report by our honourable Principal,Mrs. Rajani Shekhar highlighting the achievements of the school in varied fields of brilliance.
Then came the much awaited moment for the proud awardees. The awards for the primary children were divided into 4 categories-The Most Outstanding Student, The Most Persevering Student, The Award for Academic Excellence and the award for 'A Student for Others'.
The students of KG I and KG II were awarded by Mrs. Sudha Dutta, Coordinator of the Primary Level, the rankers of Std I and Std II were awarded by Mrs. Bhuvna Sridhar, Coordinator of the Middle School. The students of Std III and Std IV A and B were awarded by Mrs. Lalitha Seshadri,Treasurer. Std IV C, D and E students were awarded by Mrs. Priya Nagarajan, Joint Secretary.
This was followed by the Secretary’s Report which was presented by Mrs. Priya Nagarajan, Joint Secretary.
The rankers of Std V A, B and C were awarded by Mrs. Archana Ramesh, Secretary. The rankers of Std V D & E and Std VI A were awarded by MR. B. Chandrasekhar, Chairperson. Mrs. Lalitha Chandrasekhar, Chairperson awarded the rankers of Std VI B, C & D. Rankers of Std VI E, VII A and B were awarded by Mr. P. K .Sahu, Vice Principal.
Mrs. Rajani Shekhar, Principal awarded the students of STD VII C, D & E. General Special Awards (General ) were given by the Chief Guest. The award to student who has excelled against all odds was given to Ira Dubey of Std V C.
Awards for the best student of Std II, who has secured the highest marks in the academic year was given to Vivan Basak of Std II A.
The award for the best student of Std III was given to Sanchay Singh Panoo of Std III C.
The best performer award of Std IV went to Aadrik Ganguly of Std IV C.
The best student award of std V went to Manraj Singh Bindra of Std V C.
The best student of Std VI was given to Aarna Bajaj of Std VI C.
The best student of Std VII was given to Amitanshu Das of Std VII C.
The award for securing highest marks in Mathematics went to Amitanshu Das of Std VII C. The award for proficiency in Sanskrit was shared by Reya Naredi of Std VII C and Iram Fatima of Std VII D.The award for proficiency in Bengali went to Souryadipta Sarkar of Std VII E. The award for proficiency in Tamil went to S. T. Karthick of Std VII D.
The award for the most disciplined student in the Middle School level was shared by Piyush of Std VII D and Jyoti Goenka of Std VII E.
The perseverance award was given to Yuvika Agarwal of Std IV E.
The Trophy for the best maintained class went to Std VII A.
The trophy for the best disciplined class went to KG II A.
After the award distribution, the Chief Guest graced the occasion by a motivating and enlightening speech. Thereafter, she was presented with a memento by Mr. B.Chandrashekhar and Mrs. Rajani Shekhar as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
Bringing the evening's programme to a closure was the vote of thanks rendered by Jiya Ghosh.
The Grand evening came to an end with the rendition of the school anthem and the academic procession leading out.
